“Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.”
ACTS 20:28
ELDERS
We are Presbyterian in government. Presbyterianism is a representative form of government in which spiritually qualified men are elected as Elders by the congregation. The ordained pastors of the congregation are Teaching Elders, while laymen of the congregation serve as Ruling Elders. Any of our elders may be elected to serve a term on the "Session", which means that, beyond their regular responsibilities to shepherd the congregation, they serve as the New Covenant’s decision-making body. The following elders are currently serving on the session with the last year of their 3-year term listed for Ruling Elders.
